Robert H. Miller was born on August 2, 1944 in Wellington. He served as a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives and Speaker of the House between the years 1975-1997. He was a Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas farmer before being a representative. He was elected Speaker in 1992.
